Research Interests

Neurobiology of memory and learning; Behavioral neurogenetics; Use of controlled microenvironments to interrogate the nervous system of small model organisms; Computational and mathematical models of non-linear biological systems; Technology (3D printing, microfluidics, nanoparticles) and engineering (machine learning, data analytics) applications on neuroscience; Multi-scale dynamics of biological systems, emphasis on neurons and neuronal circuits; Neuronal physiology and calcium dynamics; Cell physiology, signal transduction and stress.

Ehsan has uploaded on GitHub the code for the basic results of our paper on the calcium dynamics of C. elegans ASH neuron, and also a WormTracker that he developed for our project on the effect of paramagnetic nanoparticles on C. elegans locomotion.
